James, MANY thanks for the info. Can I do a test for the flywheel such as going as slow as possible in 3rd gear and checking for vibrations or is a test that for a dragging clutch symptom? Perhaps I need a pressure plate as the clutch pedal is noisy and quite heavy to depress? Paul
