Sounds like a closed circuit switch. Disconnect them 1 at a time and see which one turns the light off. The double toot on the horn might indicate a low fob battery, I know one of my fobs does the toot and the other doesn't. :)

How about a standard aftermarket car sunroof? Nice and flush so you shouldn't see it from the outside and as secure as your standard defender windows.

Haha, well I fitted the roof rack myself and cut the side bars so I could fit the roof tent and yes, It is a 22mm push fit end cap. There was me thinking no-one would notice, well spotted Retneprac you have a keen eye :)

I did think about that but the tolerance is a bit too close, don't think i'd be able to close or open them if I did. (Never thought I'd use the words close and tolerance when talking about a defender)

The Shutters are by Dover and pretty similar to the shutters we have on our Hilux fire waggon at work but white seems to be its original colour. They're good quality but they are pretty noisy when you're driving so I will be changing them over the next few weeks (theres no money in kebabs...

Carpet... I think i've heard of this, Is that the stuff you put on the roof to stop the condensation dripping on your head?

Rags and solvent has my vote. if you don't mind making a mess and have a compressor, a paraffin gun will get it squeaky.

She's a thing of leaky! Managed to pick up a couple of side panels to replace them from a 96 model, hope they'll fit! :)

Not too sure, I've not got a RAC snorkel but here's how mines attached at the top. You might have to knock up a few brackets.
