I took me several days but i've now all 3 RAV CD's installed and so much info that i really need to keep this car...

Got also the dodgy solenoid...
Took out the startmotor and cleaned/polished the contacts..
Works like a charm, but made a mistake...
When bolting back together i caught some wires underneath the startmotor causing a short and broken wires..
Took me almost 5 days checking and surging to get it...

Well, nothing is easy if you don't have a workshop with the right tools...
But i succeeded.:rolleyes:
First i found the right pins on the 90 pins ECM connector...
This was already a bit of a pain as so many different models uses different ECM and thus different connectors...:confused:

Well, today i was at the local workshop who helped me to readout the computer.
Yes I got p0118 error meaning grounded temperature sensor...
I will need to take it appart and recheck the trapped wire...
Where would i find the international Rave??
I got only NAS versions so far..

Yes but mine is not a NAS type and i sill am lookng for the right Rave for mine...

When i took off the black tape i saw 2 identical brown wires and i believe i saw some red liner on the brown...
I am an electronics engineer original and thus familiar with soldering fine...

Well you get the 100% bonus...
This early morning i woke up and realized my bad...
I checked and found the trapped wire underneath the startmotor.
I took all apart and found just the insulation of the 2 brown wires damaged but nothing some tape could repair...
But after all was back together...

I ám new to this forum as here i could find already lot's of info...
Now i am stuck.
I got the starter solenoid problem and with great help of this forum i successful gave it a good clean and sanding the contacts worked out great.
After putting back together it was start en go.
