    hi there, I need some help to sort out why my batteries are not charging. I don't know how to test if the alternator is giving voltage... the series 3 is a ex-military version with the 24 volts system , alternator the AC5/24 model (31 amps at 27.5V) model if that helps. Wiring is connected...

    Thank you problem sorted out now, cleaned points and rewired ht leads to distributor. Took it out today and runs fine except that i might advance timing to get more power out of her. Kevin

    plugs are brand new , i have to check if the leads are ok... has there to be no resistence when checking them with a multimeter?? coil and dizzy are from the belgium army and waterproof (24 volt ignition)

    hi Blackburn in fact i had already taken the carb out at that time , but thankyou anyway:) i have cleaned it now and have put it back together , just need to order some parts as choke cable won't pull and a piece of metal from the throttel linkage snapped.... i hope a cleaned carb will correct...

    Yes i forgot to mention that fuel supply is working well (new pipes+pump) i had a look at the air filter , is was full of dirt -.- while the engine was running , the filter was diconnected i think i will have a closer look at the carb and clean it then once i get the time thanks anyway

    100 psi seems very low... Mine showed around 158 psi on all 4.... (has only done 25000 km) New is 160 psi i think.
