It's a click from within the cab, my guess is electrical, not engine though. I checked brake lights and they operate so I assume brake switch is ok.

So it's an auto. The dash recognises when I shift. Foot is in brake pedal. I have tried all the gears to try and start. Thinking crank sensor, but trying to understand if this would prevent starting all together or just rough start and running.

Update, so still not starting or even cranking. I can hear a click from within the cab of the vehicle. I still have the HDC fault..would this stop engine from starting? I have replaced the startet and a brand new battery. So now at a loss. My next step is to borrow a decent OBD reader rather...

I have looked at the started, and to be fair I'm not confident it's any good. I have taken it out and shorted it and not firing, so next on the checklist is a new starter. Will keep you posted. Thanks

I'm going to replace the whole starter as it looks rough and the solenoid connection is poor. Thanks for the reply 🙂

So the key is accepted, all the central locking etc works. I have ignition, press the button and a click, I'm thinking maybe starter motor so have removed that and will replace, I shorted the starter and nothing. I have a basic obd reader with no errors. Thanks for replying
