Cut a couple of finger tips off a latex glove. Having removed the mirror from the arm, slip one or two of these finger tips over the ball on the arm, put the mirror back on and re tighten. The extra friction of the rubber means the mirror doesn't swivel on the ball and stays in position. Works a...
