    i have a speedo from a dt5 defender fitted into my defender which is fitted with a 3.9 v8 from a disco. how can i get it to work. do i need a dt5 speed sensor. any help would be great. ps. the speedo is all wired up with a fly lead waiting for a signal from the transducer. thanks again...

    Hi. I got it running today. Because I hadn't taken the all the lpg wiring out the plug that's is meant to go right on the injector went onto the LPG loom. So I ripped the gas loom out and away she went. Thanks again everyone.

    Does it need a fuel thermistor to run the injectors because I just left that in the discovery. And the plug is just hanging in the engine bay.

    What is "rave". And where can I get it. Because the fuel pump begins to run when cranking. Im thinking the ecu must be getting a signal (to switch on the fuel relay) because that is the only way the ecu would know that the engine is being cranked. I pulled the plug of one of the injectors...

    hi. as above i fitted a 1995 disco v8 3.9 serpintine engine and autobox and fitted it into my 1994 200 tdi defender 90. i took the engine out the disco complete with loom, to take the loom through the bulkhead i removed the ecu and 2 multiplugs- one brown and one white. the white one looks like...

    Their is fuel coming back down the return pipe and I have fuel in the rail because It comes out the "tyre valve" bit on the rail under pressure if pressed. Is their a way to check if the injectors are getting their signal to open.

    I'm I right in saying the ecu must be getting the signal from the coil because the fuel pump is coming on when the engine is turning over.

    Yeah the earth is on the back of the block the ignition wire is the white/green. If I put test leads on one of the injectors would I see it come up on my meter. Might I fried my ecu by putting a +ve from the battery onto a wire I shouldn't of because I have tried all sorts to of wiring to try...

    Hi. Yeah it's the right fuel pump and it runs for a few seconds And runs when cranking. The spark is a little yellow. It's a new coil plugs leads dizzy cap and arm. I do have the ecu lead on the coil but I don't know if it's on the rite terminal. After taking it out of the discovery and fitting...
