My dad bought an old ex military Series 1 when I was about 7 or 8 and, living in Wales, we spent many, many happy days exploring mountain tracks and in accessible places - one of our favourite road signs was 'unsuitable for motor vehicles'. My first attempt at driving was in my mates dads series 2 - the thing I remember most is the size of the clutch pedal & my aching leg muscles in the 1001 attempts to get the thing moving without stalling..
