I can see what u r saying but, i know that there are badc engines, i guess that it depends on maintenance and the driver. i want to get general idea on the life expectancy of that engine. I do not want that engine to run for ever, and what i do want to do is to slowly change most of the things...

what would be the milege to be worried about? i mean i know its not going to be 20 000 but is over 120 000 too bad, or can i expect some time without major repairs on the engine?

This will be a silly question, but i hope that it will spark a debate which will help me to decide how old landy i can confortably buy knowing that it will work for next 10 years or so... I have had 2001 110 hard top which i wrote off, there was a thread about it here, now i would like to buy...

So here we are, I have had an offer today from the insurrers of £4000 so i am well happy with that. Havent found out about the cost of that salvage, will try hard tommorrow. Cheers everyone.

Hi there, I am from wilmslow cheshire. Well i guess that i will be looking for new one. The insurance company will not insure a write off anyway, and i think i may have a problem insuring it alswhere as well.

Well i have managed to write off few cars by now, nothing serious it was just cheap cars i guess:D

Well i am little worried about rusty chassis on the defs, does any of u know how much it may set me back to have it wax oild or other treatments? and i have seen the green landy but 172000 miles or whatever it has done is a lot. Isnt it? If i had a garage i would keep it and try and fix it...
