Good point, Lynall! 2007 td5 p10. And, I'm an absolute Muppet!! It was the rear screen wash that never used to work, and now it does!! More scarey than things that don't work!! Reserve still an issue!

Loud whining coming from the water reservoir when ignition is on. Any ideas? Also, reverse gear seems as though the clutch is dissengaged while rolling back. In other words, food firmly down on the clutch and its sticky as the truck freewheels backwards..

Sorry for my grammar there! To clarify, when I switch from headlamps to main beam, it turns off the right lamp completely. I should know this by now but, it's been a few years since I've had an issue with electrics after switching to the TD5. I swapped the LED lamps for the original bulb style...

Gentleman, (who answered a few years back!) We're currently in Northern Norway and swapped out the 300tdi for td5. No less problems but, at least it doesn't overheat! Light again though. Switching the main beam on turns off the right lamp completely..... Any ideas??

All done Folks, thanks for the advise, much appreciated as always. I had to chop the bolts with a fein saw which wasn't too difficult but finding the right replacement washers was a pain! I ended up reusing one half and flattening the other with a large hammer..

Has anyone ever had to replace their ignition switch? Nothing happens through the first and second stages and the engine turns on the final stage but the key doesn't hold in position. Any input would be gratefully received. PS as for the problems above in Albania, it was a steering rod bush. All...

Driven to Albania.. done literally hundreds of miles off road so far .. steering rack shakes violently when back on the road. I had a Britpart steering damper fitted replacing an OM Emu .. before I left.. I think that’s the issue.. but anyone else got some pointers??

Hi Steveo. Yes i took the switch out and it appeared ok but perhaps i should look again. The area around the contacts for the main did look darker than the rest so perhaps this is the issue... Would it be reparable or replacement necessary?
