Love to Data but it only has the 3 pin port which is purely for engine management :(

1994 Soft dash - SRS light - just failed MOT

It seems to be a 50/50 split over those who say it would be an advisory and those who say no light, no pass, anyone know where I can get a definitive answer please? Mine does has 2 'bulbs' Datatek, one on, one flashing.

Looking like that's the way to go guys, thank you. Just got to get the damned instrument panel out lol:D Just a thought, been doing a bit more reading, does the fact that I don't have dash board light for the seatbelt mean I could have a faulty seat sensor, does that effect the SRS?

1994 Soft dash - SRS light - just failed MOT

Hi People, back again (bad penny?o_O) SRS light was on when purchased nearly 2 years ago and was still on when I took her for her first MOT in donkeys, the tester was a Landy fan and ignored a 27 year old light, there's now a new tester and he is not! :(. Once he saw the SRS light he got out the...

    Classic 3.9 V8 - Over heating - still

Topped her up, ran her with caps off, no bubbles, caps on, cool down, coolant at same level. Same this morning, even at operating temp and expansion cap off, no bubbles, squeezed top hose, no bubbles. Ran her for 20 miles, temp never moved, heater on or off, stayed at mid point. Maybe, just...

Must mention 'buycarspares2', ordered rad from them yesterday at 13:43 (it was the cheapest on eBay (Nissens) and with free delivery) and it arrived today at 11:25:). Now fitted but will have to wait to take her for a run to check it.

    Classic 3.9 V8 - Over heating - still

Brand new pump fitted:). As per start of thread, I've checked temp via snap-on kit but not with external thermometer. Is it worth doing another burp and stopping before it boils over again or, did it boil over (even with all the air expelled) because the rad is blocked? If the general...

No, it ran quite a while without the cap on, only spewed coolant when it got very hot as in first time when the fan bust and second time today while I was burping it, and that was after over 30 mins with no cap, just the bottle of coolant sticking out the expansion tank.
