Battery isn't that old but the car isn't used very often, so even if i replace it will it more than likely happen again?

Hi everyone, i have a 2003 l322, yesterday the battery was flat so i jump started it off my transit. Car now starts and runs but when i turn it off the dash and side lights flash without the key in the ignition! Any ideas? Cheers Paul
