    V8 or 300tdi

Ive just bought a V8i after owning 3 Tdi's over the years- I can only say I find the V8 tons better on and off road, and never bother listening to radio anymore cos the engine sounds great too! The mpg is pretty horrendous, if I'm lucky I can get 280 miles per tank, but you'd never buy or...

    Insurance

I use NFU, they don't have any issues with 4x4s being used off road, modified, winches etc. Plus they have a local office so there's no wasting time on phone calls to India!!

    c b radios

Might be an idea to check out your local Truckstop, they often have good deals for a starter set-up, I got Midland CB, Magmount, and aerial for just over £100 at my local one?

    North Wiltshire

A few of us went down that area back in June, theres a good selection and variety of lanes running around the Ridgeway(most of which which isn't driveable anymore) from memory none have seasonal TRO's on them. Wilts County Council seem pretty 4x4 friendly compared to most!! Couple of lanes to...

    Jate rings, fit and forget?

If you,ve "lost" a Jate ring chances are you didn't fit it right so maybe it's for the best? They should always be supplied & fitted with Nylocs. I've managed to bend a few out of shape, either due to landing the chassis on them while off road, or during angled recovery!

What have you done to your Landie today.

Been out and done a few lanes, a few miles of the Viking Way, got covered in peculiar orange-brown Leicestershire mud, got home and jetwashed it all off ready for its other life as my daily driver back and forth to work.

Hmmmm just one of the many leaks, I should get a discount on Tiger Seal the amount Ive got on my sunroofs, alpine lights, etc etc!! Thanks for your help, I'll just keep an eye open and see if anything develops with the water noise behind the dash.

Sound of Running Water behind dashboard on start-up!

Would there be any thing else to look for if its the heater matrix, I must admit thats the only thing I can think it might be?

Sound of Running Water behind dashboard on start-up!

Dont know if anyone out there has had this problem or can give me some advice. After starting, theres a sound of water running/gurgling somewhere up behind the dashboard on my 1998 V8i. It seems to stop once the motors warmed up. Any clues?
