Thanks James, caught me as I was posting. Just to check it is a push fit on the 2.5 n/a but there should be contact with the sides of the tube on rocker box, is that correct Many thanks

Not sure if this means you dont understand the question, perhaps I should've put more detail in - basically need to know if the oil filler cap on a 2.5 n/a
rests in place and is held in place by some sort of suction effect of the engine or whether it should screw into place. Currently it isnt...

Apologies new to mechanics, so may be a silly question. Went to do oil change and found that the filler cap is just resting in place rather than needing unscrewing. There are screw threads on the bottom of the cap but the tube on the engine block it sits in is smooth and too big in diameter...
