I quite like the idea of running 2 batteries. Do I just put the other one under the seat and run 2 suitably sized conductors between the 2 batteries?

Just had a quick look and the alternator off a Sherpa van is an option?? Not sure what the output is though.

Thanks for the replies Gents. General feeling that I'm getting is that they are too bright! I am mostly interested in the lower power consumption to give half a chance of it starting on "stop / start" lamping nights.

Hi Thinking about swapping all lights to LED on my '77 Series 3. Does anyone have any experience or suggestions? Thanks

Hi, Thanks for the welcome. To be fair the brakes are adequate and the ride is part of the fun. I have owned 2 Series 2s, 2 Series 3s and 2 Defenders, (1 was a Ninety), previously and I chose a Series 3 out of preference this time.

Hello all, Recently bought a 1977 series 3 Station Wagon - might not have been an SW originally as it has a rag top tub. It seems very original in most other respects, i.e. interesting brakes and that famous ride quality! Still love it though.
