    Very Noisy 200Tdi Engine

I've a One Ten with a Disco 200Tdi motor in it. It's been sitting 6 months after the timing belt slipped and bent 4 pushrods. I've retimed it and changed the pushrods etc. MoT'd it on Wednesday but when it's running pre boost its really noisy. Really clattery/roary but once the turbo spools up...

One Ten 6 Bolt Steering Box

My '87 SW One Ten has a leaking steering box. I've an '89/'90 One Ten for spares with a 4 bolt box on it and I've also a reconditioned '93 200 Tdi box too. Will either of these fit and work or do I need a 6 bolt box? Cheers, Paddy

    Pitfalls of a 19J

Hi all, I'm going to look at a 90 on a galv'd chassis for a mate this weekend but aren't too familiar with the TD lump. What should I look out for engine wise? Obviously I'm okay about the rest of the checks needed but need some pointers about the 19J. Cheers

    200Tdi Timing Belt

Cheers as always guys. Just a double check here. I didn't touch the cam gear wheel once the engine was locked but it's sat like this.... If I move it 1 tooth on the belt it's this... The second pic is correct isn't it? It may have moved when I was interfering with the injection pump.

    200Tdi Timing Belt

Hi all, what would you guys do? I've had to change my injection pump and have ended up in this state.... The timing belts about 1.5 years old and done 20k miles. What's the consensus of opinions....Change it or Leave it? I'm thinking of changing it as its such a ####ing ball ache to get to...

Timing a Bosch VE fuel injection pump

Haha no worries, at least you're trying to help me [emoji106] My mate had a look when he arrived with his compression tester and reckons it's okay. I'll check it myself before removing the FIP (obviously lol)

Timing a Bosch VE fuel injection pump

Borrowed from another place..... I reckon there is a cold start mechanism on my D300 and it's that which has gone wrong (massive over fueling) at start up causing my SAS smoke cloud in the mornings. You may have notice a previous thread where a number of suggestions were made as to the cause of...

Timing a Bosch VE fuel injection pump

I think the pump shagged not out of timing. It could be the cold start thing (choke but can't remember the proper name lol)

Timing a Bosch VE fuel injection pump

It's got no throttle cable at present as it had a britpart one that I've binned as it always loosened off loosing loads of boost. It will have a genuine Land Rover one back on this week though.

Timing a Bosch VE fuel injection pump

I'm pretty certain in it as I've had my mechanic mate have a look. I've plenty of DTI's lol. I'm a machinist by trade. I was actually watching a video last night on checking the lift with a DTI. How much better is it to set it like that over using the 3/8th dowel?

Timing a Bosch VE fuel injection pump

Runs fine when warm (still smells pretty diesely tho). Thanks Lynall, I did know about the keeper plate but I'm not sure if the boy I'm getting it from does lol

Timing a Bosch VE fuel injection pump

Through a process of elimination its buggered. Had all 4 injectors checked but I've still got major starting issues with clouds of white diesely smelling smoke until warm. (A compression test showed no head issues and I'm using no water or pressurising the hoses either).

Arrghh Britpart HD clutch. Made of toffee

I fitted one a year and a half ago. I do 500 miles a week including towing my twin axle Ifor trailer. It's been fine so far but if it does turn to cheese I've had my money's worth. Would I fit another one...... Probably not "just in case" lol
