That won’t happen until next year now but I will do one lap in for a laugh at some point. It has been done before, I’ve seen a pic of one on the ring
-
It looks like the plan is to bring it down here to the ‘ring and fix it here.

Yea I’m aware of that, and the manifold etc. Hence why looking for a workshop
-
Yea I’m not put off doing it on the side of the road but a workshop wouldn’t make life a whole lot easier. To be honest I’d just undo either end and take 5e manifold with it as that’s gonna need a clean out too.

Just when I thought that the car was working fine I decided to out to Nurburgring this weekend in it (not to lap it, I have a car out there....)
So about half an hour off the ferry I notice a large amount of smoke coming from the exhaust, even more so when other motorists were flashing me...

Just tested it with resistance on the multimeter and it appears both sensors are open circuit.
I really don’t fancy chasing wiring all through the car... hopefully it’s the plug

Yea haven’t got contiuity on my DVM. Will see if I can borrow one locally

I know this has been covered over and over again but no-one seems to have my specific issue.
Ever since I’ve had the car the gearbox overheat warning comes on as soon as the key is turned in the ignition - therefore clearly isn’t overheating.
I’ve changed the sensor, no change. Checked the...
-
Ah yea of course. Hopefully is Ok. Gonna wave some spanner’s at it again on Saturday to check over a few bits anyway so will check it out. Everything seemed ok at the transferbox end

Bit of a thread revival but thought you lot may have wanted to see what the cause of this was. Only just got around to sorting it out... let’s just say I’ve done less damage to rear differentials on drift cars...
Once again thanks to my local P38 whisperer @brianp38dse, we’re back on the...

Hi all,
I need a P38 DSE rear diff (although I understand fronts are the same). Preferably localish to surrey to avoid postage costs on something so heavy.
Thanks!

You know what you might be onto something there... It sounds like a rotational metal on metal sound. I wonder if I've got a dropped heatsheild on the prop or something... I'll have a look later and see what I can find.
Also going to look into a binding caliper. Visual inspection the pads are...
