I couldn,t get the old gasket off as it was stuck solid as was yours.i just left it on and put the new one over the top.sealed ok with no leaks.:)

hi,you have proberly got it fixed now but the same happened to me on the motorway just 1 hour after i picked up my p38.Bought a new one and fitted myself in 3 hours and i am no mechanic.

Hi,just bought a mint p38. ownership started well with a blown water pump after 50 miles. Now i seem to get an intermitant power steering failure when turning right which clears after a couple of good yanks on the wheel.Is this a pump problem or air lock etc.can anybody help?
