are we talking about the ball on the throttle activator being in the slide on the pump shaft if it not in the probability is that it will not run and also if the top housing is to far fowaed it wont run has this pump run at all?
are you getting fuel at the injectors?
if not try moving the top...

the wires are broken right where they go into the sensor i tried to scrape back but cannot get enough to solder on to i think they were trapped between the pump stabliser plate and the block here the plate bolts onto i found on mine the oil light wire was trapped there on mine but did manage to...

anyway the timing sensor is the one i need so if you have a spare one or know of any i would be gratfull if you would sell it to me but dont deprive yourself as they are hard to come by

this is what i think is the stop solenoid

that is the solenoid i want but i still think it is the timing solenoid as the stop solinod is on the top of the pump because this solenoid controls the slide that is attached to the ring that moves the pump cams to advance and retard the mechanism

the stop solenoid is on the top of the pump at the rear this solinid is at the base of the rear . the stop solinid has no wire coming out of it.

I have just overhauled a diesel injector pump for my 1999 2.5 BMW diesel Range Rover and need a Timing solenoid ( which is located at the bottom of the rear f the pump) as the wires on the one i have are broken flush with the housing and cannot join new ones .I have looked online and cannot find...

as for the bolt in the side of the pump it ist here to be used when there is a mechanical governor when the VE pump is used on other aplications

i was doing rear wheel bearing on my disco3 and dissasmbled the hand brake (drum in disc) and went to reasemble it and a spring was missing .searched all around the shoes drum and any other places and the floor was clean concrete got the wife to check and brother in law and could not find it...

Yesterday i took my 1999 P38 for MOT at 2.45 pm and by 3.30 i drove it out with a pass. Not bad seeing it hasnt been on the road for 5 years but before it went in i had to replace 5 bulbs but that was all
today i taxed it.

a spray with soapy water will show where its leaking but if one airbag is leaking its worth fitting 4 as the others will soon follow
