Cheers, James. That suggests I must have a drain plug somewhere as well? On the other early type ones I've seen, the filler was much higher, nearer the top, and the one for the level kind of pointed in a slightly different direction, more towards the axle. Thanks for your help with this.

I'm fairly new to this so apologies if it's a stupid question. I've seen the early ones - with drain, fill and level plugs for oil - and the later ones with a filler plug only for one-shot. Originally, mine should have had the former (it's a 200tdi) but it's had all kinds of lift/suspension...

I had a similar experience, and did what Marmaduke's suggesting (in fact I changed the whole pedal unit for a later one with that rollover spring while it was out for new master cylinder...). Took me a while because I'm slow and have to check everything fifty times before I do it, but it's made...

Cheers. Haven't filled it yet. Was pressuring it up with a pressured bleed system to check for leaks first. I can actually hear it hissing.

New master cylinder and new slave cylinder but the system's not holding pressure. I can hear the leak and it's up top. I was careful not to cross-thread when plumbed in the new master and the unions are tight. So I'm wondering what the next step is? Is there something I should use (teflon tape...

Hi... Clutch master cylinder on a 200tdi 90 needed replacing. I'm taking the opportunity to also replace the pedal for a later 300tdi-style one with the rollover spring (a present for my left knee). I've never done this before and I'm wondering whether there's any sensible way to set it up...

Mine looks like this. It's an Ifor Williams... came with the Landy and I've not taken it off yet. The fittings look like they're welded to the canopy. The middle one's a spacer. Don't know if it's standard cause it's the only one I've ever had, but hope this helps. Click for large view -...
