Your suspension fault message is actually different to mine - mine couldn't raise itself up to normal height - so was stuck without any air in the suspension. New one has survived its first day - and has much less engine noise than last one. Seems odd that two new cars made just a few months...

Welcome to the club! I am collecting my second Disco today - I'll post any problems I find. They do appear to be able to fix the suspension problem by resealing the junction box, but mine had a dodgy computer too.

Other problems include: doors not sealing tightly (wet carpets after trip through ford); top section of tailgate can be difficult to close (bounces back); headlamp sensor either too sensitive & puts lights on all the time, or not sensitive enough - I've experienced both extremes; satnav screen...

In retrospect I would probably wait a while to let them sort the problems out - but this was supposed to be the most exhaustively tested production vehicle of all time! Other problems have all been fairly minor niggles (mainly with the technology!). Suspension is the thing to look out for.

I wholeheartedly agree that they've tried to get too clever. I had a TD5 before this which ran for 3 years without any breakdowns. I took delivery of a new Discovery 3 in January, and was very impressed with it for all of 2 weeks. Then the air suspension started to play up & failed 3 times in following 2 weeks. LR dealership has now agreed to replace it, but in the meantime the Disco they lent me has suffered the same...
