The temp outside is around 8 degrees. The temp gauge is between normal to cold and half depending on how steep the hill we are going up is (tarmac lanes not off road). Cheers for the comments

TD4 How long should the diesel heater stay on for as we can hear a whirring sound even after a good hours driving? Could it be the cooling fan, does this work almost all the time and continue after engine is turned off?
