Finally got the tank out had to take bulkhead to tub rail off well partly off , couldn’t get the two nuts off at the bulk head end ,are they supposed to be on captive nuts ? As they are just turning

Ok so I’m replacing fuel tank on a 90 300tdi on a 95 plate disconnected the fuel lines , sender wiring, unbolted rear mounting fixing & removed front tank support bracket , then slightly twisting tank anti-clockwise as removal instructions explain but struggling to get the f@#%er out any tips...

Replacing fuel tank on a 300tdi 90 when undoing this union pipe sheared, I think it’s on the return line which bolts to the tank anybody know a part number & a potential supplier ,so I can source a replacement part cheers in advance

Ok so yes there’s an adjustment point under drivers seat , so it’s a lot better but still on the limit of adjustment i.e. having to use fourth click on handbrake to hold truck securely, so possibly new cable in the spring, cheers again for the replies

Oh ok didn’t realise there’s another adjustment point at the handbrake lever thanks for the replies, I’ll get back underneath tomorrow and have another go (strange that the manual which is the Land Rover manual, doesn’t mention this?)

Hi guys I’ve got a 300tdi defender 90 on a 95 plate tried to adjust handbrake as per manual ie chock wheels lift one rear wheel off the floor release handbrake tighten 17mm adjustment bolt to 25 nm then back of 1 & half turns but that was way to far I mean like just half a turn ? Does this mean...

If you have the full wading kit , what did you do with the gasket on timing belt cover leave on , take off or make a hole in it where breather is ?

Did think that the blanking screws needed a sealing washer when the kit arrived
