Tried taking photos in the half light one morning, but they didn't come out at all well. Did new ones today in normal daylight, and now attached to original post. Note that I got the odometer reading wrong when I wrote the original post - I underestimated it.

For those that are interested in photos, I'm at work during daylight hours, but will try some with the flash on the camera. I'm just in from work, so not right this instant. Will add them to here if I can work out how, and send copies by email to those that have requested them in PM.

Now I'm not sure. The engine number indicates the 200tdi came from a Disco, but it seems to have been a pukka Defender conversion. It certainly looked like the power steerring pump had its own belt, but I could have been wrong. Will check tomorrow in the daylight.

The pump is driven from its own belt - alternator and fan are on a different belt.

LR 90 with 200tdi. My power steering has evidently sprung a leak. The steering suddenly went heavy yesterday, and there is fluid on the top of the chassis leg near the pump. The reservoir was empty, and I put most of a litre in, hoping that the leak has been there for a while and is slow...

How much pumping with the lever does it take to refill the filter, then?

My LR 90 headlights are looking a bit grotty - one of the reflectors is rusty, they atract condensation inside, and the headlamp bowls are past their best. I'm thinking of getting new ones, and notice that Paddocks offer a few types... RTC4615K | Halogen headlamp conversion kit (RHD) PM1039...
