found what is causing it just got to figure out how to repair it. it is a alloy disc just behind were the front prop joins the transfer box.

My 300tdi disco has developed a strange noise sounds like a chain being dragged underneath. it only does it on acceleration and when going up hills. it stops when you ease of the throttle and when you engage the clutch. Checked props and replaced front uj as the one nearest the transfer box...
