Many thanks for the reply. I have had success buying bearings to repair outboard engines by removing and measuring the bearings but I was hoping someone had already done this so I can have the bearing ready to refit

Hi I’ve just noticed some play in my steering column that appears to be in the upper column. Has anyone changed the bearings in this part or is it a new upper column? Just to add, mine is a late 300 Tdi model 1998. Thanks

Did a bit of cutting out to fit the new rear crossmember. Think I got lucky with the rest of the chassis, still got most of the paint on it and only light surface rust. Pretty good for a 25 yr old chassis I reckon. Going to give it lots and lots of protection internally and externally to try to...

I've got myself a new galvanised front bumper but on reflection I'd prefer to keep it black. Is there a special primer I can use to keep the galv and just overcoat with black paint?
