In France it would be a fail on the the CT (MOT equivalent) to have mismatched tyres on the same axle. Years ago you used to hear horror stories of people mixing cross-ply with radials.

I haven't needed to top up since the engine was completely rebuilt 18 months & 15K miles ago. I actually have an unopened litre of ready diluted OAT in the boot if the level ever drops.

We have three taps in the kitchen. Hot & cold softened water plus cold straight from the mains for filling up the kettle. We would never have considered fitting a water softener which was already installed when we moved into the house. It's a...

Likewise. New airsprings all round about 5-6 years ago. Methodically recalibrating the EAS about 4 years ago got rid of the little dance when stationary at traffic lights & road junctions. I do about 8-10K miles per year but the last time I had...

We have a water softener. What comes out the tap is deionised water so I just use water straight from the tap.

I had to do this recently as the rear wiper motor failed so I swapped it for one from a breaker. I'm not sure that I understand what problem the OP is having. It's just as it says in RAVE. You flip up the cover over the nut then get a spanner on...

I only discovered that there was a difference in size when trying to fit a 39mm at the rear where a 36mm was required. The heat sink on my 39mm lamps was shorting out every time that I tried to fit the oversize bulb. Interestingly the circuit...

I bought some of these that provide a much nicer light. Instead of the three LED dots there are a dozen smaller ones that give a more even light. You need a 39mm for the front & 36mm for each side at the rear.

I have the original P38 bottle jack but prefer to carry a trolley jack. Touch wood I have never needed to change a wheel at the roadside but wouldn't be comfortable using the supplied bottle jack.

I had V8 Developments completely rebuild my engine nearly two years ago. They did a complete turnkey job removing & replacing the engine. I just dropped the car off then collected it later. Be aware that you may need to wait some months before...

They look just the job. Please can you provide a link so I can buy some too?

@Flossie Can I ask where you got your LEDs? I got a set of LEDs from eBay & have just replaced all my interior lamps but would like some that are a bit brighter. I would also prefer a warmer colour as the ultra white LEDs I have look a bit out...

There are no rubber components in the fuel line that will be adversely affected by ethanol. When I am in France I run my P38 on E85 (85% bioethanol) which is half the price of E10. Like LPG the calorific density of ethanol is less than petrol so...

    Happily it's not that expensive. Before 1st March 2001 it's £345 & after it's £415.
