Static timing looks ok. I have rotar arm a few degrees before no.1 plug lead, and compression in no.1 cylinder as it rises to the top of its stroke.
I guess next step is rocker cover off to be sure i have the right cycle and exhaust valves are definitely shut

Ok so i changed the ignition amp today and checked the wiring from amp connector to coil. Theres only 2 wires +ve and -ve both were fine.
Now i have fuel getting to the plugs and spark at plug lead ends byt she still won't start ??
Battery is fully charged and turning engine over.

Once i get the distributor out , i will open up the loom and check the cables. I do have a niggling feeling it may be a bad connection. However while the distributor is out i'll swap the amp as removing the disi is such a PITA.

Thanks the coil will be 2nd on the list to swap . I have found a brand new lucas coil that i ordered but did'nt use on a previous v8.
Is this interchangeable with the bosch unit ?
Coil specs seem non existent these days !

I did all those tests. Fuel pump runs for approx 2-3 seconds when ignition is switched on . No spark from the king lead and no fuel getting to the plugs.
Will check the other relays but I have ordered a new amplifier as it seems to be the link between...

I Do have the factory fit immobiliser. I believe it is only set from the remote for central locking which i never use.
