All done and dusted. New rocker shaft, rockers, pushrods and a bit of helicoiling !!!! Absolutely runs supurb now, no real damage done !!!:) RESULT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jake...

All fixed. New rocker shaft, push rods and rockers. Had to helicoil the head though as the threads had pulled in one place. Runs supurb now. Jake...:)

Well, the damage is as thus : Retaining bolts for the rocker shaft sheered off in the head. Bent rocker shaft Broken rockers bent push rods I was expecting worse so this isnt too bad I suppose. Anyone else had this happen ??????????????:confused:

Its under the turbo on the left hand side of the engine. Not the easiest of places to get to and not the cheapest of items either !!! Follow some of the previous advise, point and cry for a while until you come to terms with the fact you have to get it off and its gonna cost ya !!! :D

Do you have a feed and good earth supply to the pump ? You say the cut off switch is ok, have you checked continuity through it ? Jake...

I dont know yet, it got towed to a garage by the AA. They are doing it through the insurance I have with them. I suppose it is possible the timing has slipped come to think about it. I will keep you all posted on the outcome of the autopsy !! :o :rolleyes:
