Jeez, thats ridiculous! They never think of the next person, I thought finding a rounded off sump plug was bad enough but a cracked unit, scary! One reason I prefer to do the maintenance myself (with help from Dad at times 😅), least then I know whats been done and how it's been done. Not sure...

Yep, same here, it sucks but rectifying it and checking things over as I work through the car! The Gearbox, PTU & Haldex have no history of being touched so praying to the great LR God that they are okay, they are the next things on my list too attack 😅

The diff has had its O Seal replaced in the past by a previous owner for a leak, by the torque on every other bolt on the car, their mechanic is a whap-it-up with a impact drill kinda person, all of them are insanely tight and beyond the suggest Nm

That would be great if you could... I would whip out the plug that's in it, but we had to fight it too get it secured back in until we can repair it! So would rather not make it worse than it already is
