Cap won't budge 😤 starting to loose faith in Google almighty, someone out there must of taken the end off a 9.5xp and taken a photo or even written a small comment!! Can think of several possibilities - corroded on just slides on ( but have knocked it about enough to over come that)...

Sweet, that's just what I wanted to hear, hopefully they haven't used some sort of adhesive to hold the end cap in place! My mot people have said id be pushing my luck if I attached a reg on the Bonnet, may have to ignore them, where did you get the sticker from?

Another question I can't find an answer for, is it legal to stick your reg on the bonnet? Not bother about police - more about mot failure

Ideal! The states are on a completely different price scheme! I guess avoid heavier and more expensive stuff for postage and tax. I was out bid on the old xd9000i, managed to get a 9.5xp instead. Might look to get a new motor gasket and replace some of the bolts. Mainly for increased shinyness ;-)

Unfortunatley I've already clocked that one. It's a really good vid, but they focus on the gears. Only removing the motor, not stripping it. Thanks for looking :-) - hows your xd9000i been? Did you need to do any mods when you swapped to synthetic?

My darling wife ran our 300 tdi (with 180k on the clock) very low on fuel. It started chucking out loads of white smoke out of the back when I started it and drove up the road. Got my winch :-) warn 9.5 xp - just arrived. Second hand so thought I'd check it over and saw a bit of silicone by the motor gasket. Later found out (hang head in shame) this is used to block off one of the water vents. Now can't get the casing on because bush's have sprung in the way. Does...

When you cleaned yours up, did you come across a motor housing when you replaced your gear housing? I might give Devon 4x4 a shout when normal working hours resume? Keeping finding stuff on American sites - damn those guys get it cheap! If it wasn't for postage and what ever the government take...

Thanks Paul, the one I'm looking at has a hole in the motor casing which I can't google a replacement for as of yet. Also like the idea of a bow 2 attached to the side :-). If i do buy it ( for the right price of course!) and replace the motor I'll keep you in mind for the old one.

Looking at a xd9000i with 26626 code, looks like motor might be fubr! Can you shove a bow motor straight in and if so maybe a bow 2. Would it require more than a standard battery could manage? and would the original gears be fine with extra hp going through them? Cheers in advance
