What would you suggest then. Would the best option be to find the largest rims possible and fit the largest all terrain/mud tyres I can get?

I am on my first freelander and so far enjoying it. I have toyed with the idea of giving her a 3" lift to help when greenlaning with her bigger sisters. I have been told not to do this as it will ruin the handling and make her unstable on road. Has anyone done this? How easy is it and does it...
