Around town / short runs I get around 28mpg and on a run it goes up to around 35 mpg. As you go over 60mph then fuel economy suffers. Check the usual suspects of tyre pressure not correct and that the brakes aren't binding. A new air filter might help

It would just be the engine ECU that would have to be changed/tinkered with wouldn't it? The other ecus are relatively independant aren't they.

sounds like it is fooked . Take the panel off again and check the half moon sprocket thing and see if it is loose. If it is then buy another one and fit that.

The problem with this country is that folk always look for the Politically correct line. Calling a Japanese vehicle isn't racist in the way you want it to mean. If a Japanese national signed up on here and was called a slitty then that is different and would be racist.

I think it is something to do with common rail engines. But I wouldn't risk it with a fuel pump that costs £130 and injectors which run to a few hundred quid per set
