    Cheers guys, Fianally got down to the true cause. After adjusting Pump timing which was 20 degrees out, no change with hot start or perpormance, Rigged up gauges to test pump flowand pressure, found pressure to drop off when on demand. Threw new pump and injectors at it. Now goes like a train...

    New whine from the back. What's the most likely culprit?

    If you feather the throttle and had the diff almost free wheeling , Meaning no acceleration or decel. Then the whine occurs it is most deffinity the diff pinion and crown.

    :confused:G,day I am new on this Forum. My P38, Great to start when cold or warm, But when hot long time to start, It has a hot box connected. I believe to problem is down to the wear in the fuel pump. Do I bite the bulit and relace the pump? Has anyone had this trouble and replaced the pump...
