Drove a 300TD today and it felt completely different (in a good way!) to the 200TD :)..... so the dream of a Defender is alive again!!! :D:D:D I think it must have been the others that I drove were just very bad examples. Dear Santa...... ;)

Yeah been doing a bit of research alright, but I was afraid the main reason people converted back to coils was down to cost and not performance/ practicality and that in the long run it might not be the best option. But if its not down to price and the reasons for doing this conversion was...

What did you end up going for?? The general consensus here is to go for an Auto diesel? :confused:

Do people recommend not changing the airbags to coils because its an unoriginal thing to do to the P38 or is because its not a good modification? I'm just wondering cause I'm looking at buying one at the moment and alot of the adverts I look at have the coil conversion done and they are...

A V8 in Ireland!!! No chance!! It would unfortunately have to be a diesel for me at the moment, I couldn't possibly afford a v8 petrol engine in a jeep!! I wish!! Maybe LPG conversation? I have done much reading up about them yet, but I've seen a few topics on here so I'll take a look and see :-)

Budget would be approx £4000/€5000. Usage would be daily driver at the start but would love to get into some light-medium off roading, it'd be a shame to have a 4x4 and not get it a little dirty!! ;-)

Drove 3 of them and they were all the 200TD, it was more the feeling of the clutch that was what I didn't like and the last one just had a new clutch fitted 2weeks earlier
