Hello
My beloved Monty was stolen last night from Richmond Land Rover. We travelled from London to Cape Town in Monty, I even got engaged to my wife on the roof! He's part of the family and, needless to say, we're devastated.
Monty is quite distinguishable so if you see any part or all of him...

The original garage gave up so I had it delivered to a new landrover specialist in battersea. Like the tiger says, they're great! RR landrover is their name.
It was a faulty connection on the ECU from an oil leak. They cleaned it all up and it works now. They did mention that I should change...

The mechanic has checked the oil and says it's fine.
I told him about the clutch pack but he's convinced it's the ECU. It's not responding (by giving alerts) no matter how much you antagonise it! Do you think it could be an ECU issue? Seems unlikely to me.

Thanks jamesmartin, I'll give that a shot. Wouldn't there be a clutch smell though? Also, that sounds like a gradual problem that would worsen over time rather than one that would leave me stranded.

It'll sit in idle and it'll reverse. It'll also go forward slightly but if you accelerate at all it stalls, this happens in D, 1,2 or 3. It was taking ages to start and I assumed it was just the fuel pump. Cleaned that and changed the fuel filter still the same!
It's at the garage now and...

Oh no! Read the whole post and there's no real conclusion. This is exactly the problem I have, everyone is stumped.

Hello, I did this at the weekend:
www.discovery2.co.uk / Workshop /Injector Harness
And it fixed my issue. Great tutorial. The only thing we followed but felt could probably have skipped was popping open the ECU cover. Other than that, spot on and it's now running wonderfully again.

Thanks both for the quick responses. Got any recommendations for an ECU reader?

Hello
I've a Disco 2 Metropolis auto that has started to shake at low revs. It tends to be once it's warmed up. If I kick down on the throttle it changes down a gear or two and the shake goes away.
It's almost as if it's about to stall.
Looking around here there's mention of similar...
