110 k bought from a garage four months ago, the soga might come into this one, don't know if its the original box

Here's the faults I've got after checking the car after I lost drive, it was done using a snap on code reader. Code 85. Can bus transfer box time out Code 30. Mechanical torque convertor monitor fault Code 36. Gear monitor 4 fault Any ideas what these are Tia. Tony

2004 td6 , trans fail safe was coming up for a few days but it drove ok, then today it came up and it's gone into limp mode

Just got the trans fail safe message and lost drive I turned it off and got it home in limp mode, so I need the codes reading I'm in Middlesbrough if anyone can help

Well all is still good, 12 days and no messages

i think mine has just started working lol, there seems to be excessive smoke ( i not sure how much there should be ) it wasnt noticable when the snow was here, should i be concerned or is it the norm for it to be like this. tia tony

not sure if this has any relevence to the trans fail safe alarm but i did some searching and found a manual gearbox reset on a forum ( cant remember which one lol). anyway this is what i did and ive not had the message back for two days 1, climb in car and close all doors 2, insert key in...

Battery and alternator tested ok, next thing to do is to check the gear box for tc content lol

Had these coming up on the info centre in the last week or so, the car drives fine and does not go into limp mode at all, when the trans failsafe comes on I move it to manual or sport mode and it goes away, the cars a td6 on 109000 miles Hdc and low range are working fine Anyone got any...

Well I'm back in a rr, just bought aDiesel td6 vogue :) Time to start reading up I guess
