1. Without killing myself
2. Without damaging IRD.
Have a replacement bearing kit with Timken items which I was quite pleased to get.

Yes handbrake adjusted as you say.. old school the ‘book’ method has never worked for me.. only locks the brakes even with brand new adjusters..

Having separated the ABS modulator from part of the system there will still be air in the ABS block I guess. When I rebuilt the rear of my TD4 I replaced both the rear brake lines in their entirety. I tried to inject fluid into the modulator block but with little success. I bled the system fully...

Kits of fleabay have a mixtures of options which I think are down to what they have in stock/are available etc.. so I guess you didn’t have to replace the pinion bearing in your case.. :-)

Anyhoo checked I had the right gear oil.. 75 W 90 GL-5 … hell yeah… but only 600 ml.. FACK!

Couple of things. Others may chime in.
When refitting your wheel bearing remember to ensure that the ABS emitter ‘tone ring’ is fitted in facing the inside of the hub. The tone ring is grey(ish) in colour(in my experience) but maybe a different colour. Also your abs Sensor protrudes...

As I have been twiddling my thumbs whilst waiting for some medical results etc(can’t drive/work til given the all clear) I decided to remove the sunroof..
The mechanisms are jammed but do lift the roof up.. but nothing else.. wondering if there is a ‘two stage’ opening procedure or just one...
