Hi. Had the same issues on a 2006 TD4. Got all the filter, pumps, EGR, Breather,changed cleaned etc. None of it worked. The answer was to replace the Turbo Boost Solenoid Valve (STC4198). It controls the veins in the Turbo at certain speeds i.e. above 60 or under heavy load. Buy it on line for...

I have no issues with my brakes (2006 td4) they stop me everywhere but..... If I have to break hard downhill so max load, they stick and rub, slowly easing back to normal. This has only happened twice. Normal driving or breaking at motorway speeds are fine. Who has had this and easily fixed it?

FIXED!!!!! After all the other bits changed or fixed it would seem that if I changed the Turbo Boost Control Valve to start with (£35) it would have fixed it anyway. Hey at least the rest has been done (£547) and I can have worry free Freelander motoring from now on!! Watch this space.;)
