Spratchets have gone. Need to think about replacing the felchers.

My gas 4.6 was lumpy until I had lambda (O2) sensor changed and a standard LPG service. Great now.

I might just have to re-spline the clopper and have done with it.

You could try filling it with soil and grass. Worked for me on my racer when I was 10 and got a puncture miles from home. :rolleyes:

Sorry, had the vicar round and couldn't reply for a while. Have read your replies - thanks for the advice, so far. However, I'm thinking about lubrication and how to avoid excessive clunge friction. Has anyone used a bovine reamer for this job or do you think that would attract the attention...

Been hearing unusual noise from the general area of the clunge. Could this be a problem with flap thrust?

Does anyone know whether there is any useful purpose served by taking the oil cooler off a 4.6 and flushing it out? I'm showing my ignorance here, but I think its done on diesel intercoolers to improve performance, but will it make any difference to mine? It may sound odd, but I've noticed...
