thanks Coltron, thats pretty much what I thought. Theres no knock or noise at all while driving it but when I jacked it up theres movement side to side on the wheel with a distinctive clunk from the inner tie rod. seems a fairly easy change over so ill get that done this week and update.

Funny you say this, I've just jacked the car up and checked and the inner tie rod is moving in and out. Replace that next. Funny this has only happened since I had the tracking done. Is it possible they've over extended the rod or something?

just tracking, have to say I would never have thought of that as didn't realise wishbones were adjustable in anyway. local garage is quoting me £80 for computerised 4 wheel alignment so ill look into that. thanks !

Good afternoon fellow Landy lovers, first post here and looking for some advice.
I have a 2011 Freelander 2.2 td4 which failed its MOT last week on a broken coil spring. (half an inch off the end of the coil !)
anyways, what started out as replacing the shock turned into replacing the shock...
