Our 1999 Disco diesel TD5 GS needs an ACE conversion due to pump frying due to leak a few days ago. My husband is happy to convert but needs to know what parts are needed. He initially said it would be an idler pulley and a non ace belt. Are the anti roll bars needed too? I'm sure they are but...

Considering purchasing a 1999 TD5 , but appparently it overheats after about 100 miles of motorway driving. He says no water loss from anywhere and fine once cooled down. Anyone know what this could be and shoukd I steer clear??

Not sure about service history and I'm actually swapping my 2002 1.8 es Freelander for it!

I have been given the chance to buy a 1999 TD5 with MOT until Feb 2016 but mileage is 222000. It's been a family vehicle for the past 2 years and been looked after. Should I consider purchasing??

Has anyone had experience of a left hand drive TD5? Just wondered what you thought if it and if you get used to driving it? Are the parts more exoensive and harder to find and is insurance more?

Did it again this morning, so as suggested on here, I tapped the starter motor with a hammer and hey presto started 1st time! My Dad who has been fixing his own cars and tractors for years says it's due to the brushes sticking in the starter motor as Krisboats suggested. He's going to spray some...

Thanks for your in depth instructions! However, I tried again this morning with the spare key and she started 1st time. Have tried original key since and starts with that too, so don't know what the problem was! Don't trust that it won't happen again though! Anyone want to swap for a TD5??!!!
