All sounds like good advice and yes the wheel nuts are tight and no visible signs of anything being broken or adrift so will leave it for now until the weather gets less windy. Will check out the carb for now.

It's a 2.25 and fitted with a weber ICH
Spring bushes were supposed to have been checked over as part of a substitute MOT by a local land rover place!

Went for a drive yesterday and had a couple of unrelated issues on my S11
Firstly the ticker was unusually fast, odd as I don't remember turning the screw in to increase the speed lately hum!
So I duly turned it out until I had a nice tick over but then every junction I came to it just stoped...

Well my landy is a 1958 Series 2 109 just about to go soft on top. With a bit of luck!
