    Temperature Gauge Stopped Working

The gauge on my 97, 300tdi stopped working after it overheated the other week. Following a replacement head gasket, I replaced the thermostat and the temperature sender which is in the head. Funny thing is, I have no temperature sensor in the elbow of the thermostat nor is there any...

Discovery 2, would you buy this one?

The rear of the chassis on a D2 is more prone to rust than that on a D1. Worth spending time underneath having a look first.

I got them locally in France, so not much good to you  but these latches are pretty common. I started out with those over centre hasps but they were too flimsy and hard to mount on chequer plate and the robust ones are just too big so I went back to basics.

    My ass is sagging...

The maths are not that simple. If the load was spread evenly either side of the trailer axle and the trailer was similarly balanced then the load on the hitch would be near zero. You need to weigh things up, literally.

yet another problem !! starting issue

Normally, the ticking would indicate a duff starter motor. Locate it, bang it with a heavy implement and it may turn over. This works for a while, but you will end up having to replace the starter.
