Thanks Optimus Prime, the mechanic has had a look and it turns out it's a mouldy / worn starter motor lead which needs a clean and should work well now. Glow plugs are all good and fairly new, battery is also new. Cheers.

Just bought a TD4 2002 Freelander, can someone tell me how the glow plugs effect starting on cold mornings please? I wait for the light to go out, then turn ignition on to full position but the engine doesn't start? Many thanks.

Hi, I'm a newbie to the world of Land Rover, just bought a 2002 TD4 SE Auto 80k miles, all good so far. There is no internor front light bulbs though, any ideas where I can get them from? Cheers.
