    Thanks for the suggestion. Even been up the road now with the viscous fan off and belt off completely, so I guess that rules out the belt slipping, fan, air-con, alternator, power steering, water pump, tensioner, idler.... ... still got the demented budgie ! Maybe I need to look to get a...

    Well I'm stumped now. changed the tensioner (bearing was rough) changed the belt (had the wrong size on) changed the exhaust manifold gasket still got a demented budge under the bonnet. I didn't see any evidence of the gasket blowing but changed it anyway as I see a few have found...

    RAVE covering TD5

    hi, I have downloaded RAVE from a few locations but I still seem to have the same issue. The Disco II workshop manual only seems to cover the V8 in detail. Anyone know where I can get the TD5 specific sections - engine particularly? Cheers, Adam..

    Hi, Looking at buying my first land rover (always had japs in the past). I'm looking at 2000-2004 TD5 (7-seat) but I can't see what the differences are between the ones up for sale that are described as E, ES, GS or XS Is there somewhere I can check spec/options for a model and a year...
