Ok, the dark ice kit arrived today and it’s fitted, heart stopping moment when I pushed the clutch and it stuck to the floor, but another go at bleeding did the trick. Only had time for a quick test drive and it worked a treat, gears smooth and a good biting point. So far very impressed.

I’ve bit the bullet and ordered one, I’ll let you know how it goes!

After all my efforts It turned out to be the clutch pedal on mine, but good experience doing the clutch, I think later models don’t suffer from the pedal issue. My advice is to Move the ird though, it's not that difficult and makes getting the gearbox out and back in a lot easier, doesn’t need...

I did it without an engine lift, used a couple of ratchet straps on a plank of wood over the bonnet, to support the gearbox. The gearbox is heavy.
