Hi All
Well I've had enough of the FL so have swapped it at the weekend for a hopefully more reliable MK4 VW Golf TDi.
I'd like to thank everyone for their extremely valuable help and I do have the following spare items for sale:
VCU
Front Prop
Rear Prop
Pierburg MAF
Thanks Again!

Mine's a manual and I have mine set on 2 with the Bosch MAF. Any higher and the engine management light comes on and it goes into limp home mode. I think this is down to the fuel rail sensor though
-
I would if I had the space!

What? And lose the ambience that is created by such modern switchgear???;)

Hi David
Do you also have a Synergy unit fitted?

Check the earth cable from the battery to the chassis.
Mine came on the other night driving home and it was a lose earth connection at the battery - the clamp didnt appear to tighten enough
-
I've looked at this too Gary and believe the ECU to be located under the passenger seat
-
Sykes Pickavant if you can pick them up cheap!

What year is that page from as mine says 30 and there is loads of conflicting advice whether its 26 or 30?
I've heard 30 until 2000 cars then 26 after but someone posted on here their manual said 30 and theirs was a 2004 model!

Im not familiar with the V6 engine just using my generic knowledge. I've looked online too and it would appear there isn't a distributor cap for this engine. There are two types of coil, one which has a coil for each plug (assuming this isnt yours as you have HT leads) and another which seems to...

I think HT leads could cause an air of mixture if it was misfiring??
Rattling - not sure, hydraulic tappets?

A few stella cans and some bodge tape should do it!
