Outside handle attaches to green clip. Inside handle attaches to the lever circled in blue. Both of them operate the same metal lever, so the problem is likely to be one of these attachment points.

Normally black on start up, it'll chug a little then run properly. Normally when one or two glow plugs go down it'll be a long crank to get it fire up🫣
There's 2 belts, the main accessories belt and the fan belt. Not done it but you don't need to take the whole front off.. you can do it but it's fiddly. Apparently
