Drums in the centre of the discs. Exactly the same as my facelift 3.6 and I had no issue at all. I can't see that I'm doing anything different to what I did before or what is in this detail, Kermit's description or any video I've watched! I...
Just a few taps around the yoke assembly needed nothing major kiddo. 👍
We've got 38' with a phased prop and a 38' without, it's a good question about phasing 🤔
After you have fitted the new cups and clipped everything back together, tap around the uj head with a hammer it will realese any assembly tension.
Hopefully that's all you need to do.
The old phased or none phased question 😜
Got the 3d printer working again to make an adapter plate to fit a bee sting antenna so I have decent FM/DAB/GPS reception. The factory shark fin was cracked and no longer worked. God it leaves behind a big hole, bigger than aftermarket fixing nuts.
If it's it has the handbrake via the disks and not shoes then the rear brake action alone beds the pads
Do you have rear brake drums in the center of the disks?
Short journeys and lack of use...
If it's stop start vehicle then an Agm battery is a must, also a slow jump start could be their jumper pack, bad earths and a few things.
I would look into finding out if the battery management needs resetting...
If you watch this video, it shows how the Nanocom can properly diagnose your issues. Windows & Mirrors demo is at 1:36 into the video. At 2:54 it shows the outputs menu which can test the BECM to door outputs.
If you were anywhere near me, I...
On Saturday I changed the discs, pads and parking brake shoes as well as flushing the brake fluid. I also repainted the calipers while there ahead of the long awaited wheel refurb that it so desperately needs.
On Sunday morning I decided to...
Detonators deteriorate so unplugged they can go off. There is a huge world wide recall on airbags from one manufacturer because they can detonate unexpectedly.
Do a search, I think certain MGF lock assemblies are the same as the P38 but much cheaper. I would certainly take the lock assembly out, dismantle it and check what is wrong. It may be repairable
Tbh it is no bad thing. Letting the torque spin out protects the driveline to an extent
The issue with the m57 is that it makes a lot of torque very low down
I have put a pneumatic centre diff lock in but I doubt I will ever use it unless I get...
Take the spark plugs out (distributor cap seems to be missing ??). Then crank it on the starter motor & check the oil pressure and get the oil circulated where required.
Then I would put sparkies in & get it to fire up & idel before revving it up.
